New Feature Spotlight
Associator Plug-in
The Associator Plug-in, located inside the Management Console of InterSync 2.0, provides users with the ability to automatically associate files added by InterSync with any file collector in Virtual Ticket 5.0. This automatic association of files provides numerous benefits, including:
- Saving time previously needed to drag and drop files on file collectors.
- Providing users with a real-time view of the files in the file system, eliminating the need to manually synchronize files in Virtual Ticket 5.0 with the file system.
- Preparing files for archiving by generating previews, capturing metadata and associating with jobs in Virtual Ticket 5.0.
For example, suppose the naming convention of job folders on a file server contain the job number and job name separated by a dash (12345-Job Name). By creating a rule in the Associator Plug-in folders are watched for this naming convention, any folders matching the rule will be associated with a file collector specified in the rule criteria.

Smart Tip of the Month
Privileges for Digital Resource Deletion
Privileges for deleting digital resources from a Virtual Ticket 5.0 database can be implemented by applying a two-step approach.
- Create a special user group in Virtual Ticket Administrator 5.0. Users who are members of this group will have privileges to delete digital resources.
- Apply a SQL trigger to the database. When an attempt is made to delete a digital resource in Virtual Ticket 5.0, the SQL trigger fires and verifies that the user belongs to the special user group. If the user does not belong to the special group, the user will be prompted with a message informing them they do not have enough privileges to delete digital resources.
