MetaCommunications Releases Virtual Ticket™ Web Server 1.5

Major upgrade of the Web Server platform provides improved user interface and new add-in support for KPG’s RealTimeProof digital proofing solution.

IOWA CITY, IA—October 5th, 2004. Today MetaCommunications, Inc. shipped a major upgrade to its Virtual Ticket Web Server platform. Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 introduces new add-in support for KPG’s RealTimeProof digital proofing solution. This add-in allows web users to not only search, view, and download digital assets cataloged by Virtual Ticket, but also opens the digital asset into the RealTimeProof Partner software application through its native web interface. KPG’s RealTimeProof Partner software is sold separately and is not included in this release. Additional feature enhancements include support for Windows 2003 Server support and many user interface improvements.

Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 is an add-on product to Virtual Ticket that allows users to interact with digital assets through a web interface. Virtual Ticket is a powerful integrated solution that enables organizations to centralize information, eliminate paper job tickets, manage production files, traffic and schedule jobs, notify and alert users to changes in production information, manage digital assets and automatically archive files. Used as a stand-alone system or seamlessly integrated with other management and enterprise software, Virtual Ticket is the only product available today that combines electronic job ticketing, workflow, digital asset management, and archiving in one scalable and customizable production platform.

Availability
Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 is available immediately directly from MetaCommunications or through certified partners worldwide, with costs based on the number of concurrent users licensed. The Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 base package starts at $3995 (U.S.). Additional concurrent user license packs are available separately, starting at $199 (U.S.) for a single-user license. Upgrades to Virtual Ticket Web Server 1.5 are available free of charge to existing customers with a valid Software Assurance & Support agreement.
