Technical Software Trainer

MetaCommunications, software developer based in Iowa City, Iowa has an immediate opening for an experienced Technical Software Trainer. This position will develop training resources and provide online and classroom based training for our software products and technologies. Candidate will build basic, advanced, and topic based training for existing and new software products. Training will be conducted in small classroom settings, over the internet using WebEx technologies, or onsite at the customers location.

Responsibilities

• Develop training resources and curriculum.
• Develop certification program for contract trainers.
• Assist in scheduling training sessions.
• Conduct training sessions: one-on-one, small group and classroom.
• Deliver periodic classroom, onsite, and Internet based training.
• Analyze and report customer product feedback.
• Analyze customer workflows and business requirements.
• Gather data and build a system to measure the effectiveness of training.
• Develop implementation examples using JavaScript, SQL and other development environments.

Requirements

• Classroom and/or one-on-one training experience.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience with Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong technical background.
• Ability to travel in the US and Canada (typically not more that 25% of work time).
